Infra-red drying systems produced by Solaronics Bekaert.  Designed for gas and electrical non-contact curing, drying and profiling, the range comprises Monocassettes, Mastercassettes, Miniflex and the Gas Emitter Module (Gem).

The Dotec LiftAssist® range of reel and roll handlers includes rotary action handlers (horizontal to vertical and in reverse) and single action handlers (horizontal or vertical), both types having a capacity of 50 to 600 kg.  The ergonomic handle that controls operations allows the operator to keep an eye on the load while a mere finger touch determines both direction and speed. This ease of operation increases speed whilst also reducing the physical demands on the operator.

When loads are required to be moved on a flat surface, Renova’s Moviroll roll pusher allows the operator to effortlessly manoeuvre both large and small cylindrical loads and then place them on a roll stand or shuttle cart.  A battery-operated version is also available.

Svecom’s shaft and reel handling equipment includes shaft lifters, turners and extractors; elevator platforms, battery-operated trolleys and roll pushers.

Slitting systems and knives from Espo Srl are suitable for an extensive range of applications.  Features include quick, reliable and accurate positioning and manual or fully-automatic and user-friendly knife holders.  Different slit widths and styles are achieved by shear, razor and crush cutting.

Jarshire’s reel-saver is an economic, pneumatically-operated device with optional sleeve sizes to restore crushed or out-of-round cores.

Completing the Jarshire package, a full mechanical, electronic and electrical installation, maintenance and repair service is offered.  Any make of air shaft or chuck can be repaired, slitting knives reground, knife-holders overhauled and upgraded and any make of spreader roller can be reconditioned.

Airshafts & Chucks

With lightweight airshafts, the low weight of the shaft body allows easy and safe manual handling, resulting in efficient insertions and withdrawal of the shaft from the reels thereby increasing production through quicker reel changes.  The Svecom shaft will centre cores; run concentric and faster than competitive products; carry more reel weight; has greater gripping power and will cope with reused or worn cores.

Drying

Infra-red drying systems produced by Solaronics Bekaert.  Designed for gas and electrical non-contact curing, drying and profiling, the range comprises Monocassettes, Mastercassettes, Miniflex and the Gas Emitter Module (GEM).

Monocassettes are suitable for all types of ink and glue drying and are flexible enough to be combined into larger drying systems covering almost any drying process in the range from 1 kW to 40 kW.

When more power is needed, and web width rises above 1000mm, the most convenient product if the Mastercassette that can be customised in many ways.  Typical applications include offset drying, flexoprint, drying of corrugated board, and tissue and paper lamination.

The Miniflex and Miniflex 2 are designed for space-limited machines and can, for example, be used between printing stations on flexographic printing machines where the space requirement in the MD is only 200mm.

The Unidryer V3 comprising air flotation nozzles, GEM infrared emitters and integrated air fans, is designed specifically for the paper and board industry.

Handling Systems

A further development to the LiftAssist has resulted in products in the weight range of 5 – 60kg to be safely handled without interval, adjustment or modification.

When loads are required to be moved on a flat surface, Renova’s Moviroll roll pusher allows the operator to effortlessly manoeuvre both large and small cylindrical loads and then place them on a roll stand or shuttle cart.  Moviroll is ideal for handling paper, tissue and converting rolls in a simple and safe manner.  A battery-operated version is also available.  Both versions offer a choice of straight or curved handle configurations.

Slitting

Slitting systems, pneumatic knife-holders and blades from Espo Srl are suitable for an extensive range of applications.  Features include quick, reliable and accurate positioning and manual or fully-automatic and user-friendly knife holders.  Different slit widths and styles are achieved by shear, razor or crush cutting. Advanced cutting technology leads to easy and functional in-line integration to all existing winders, slitters, sheeters and web processing machines, no matter the substrate.  High quality steels are used in top and bottom blades to suit customer’s applications and provide a long life.

Bowed/Banana Rolls

Spreader, bowed and banana rollers from Tecnomec3 are designed to eliminate creases and wrinkles from the material being processed, and to prevent interweaving of slit widths. A wide range of types is available or they may be designed and manufactured to meet a customer’s specific requirement.

A complete repair and overhaul service for all makes of spreader rollers is available and the company can normally turn around any size of roller in under four weeks.
